Get an underage performer approved: liquor licences
Apply for approval. Licensed cabarets, lounges and beverage rooms need to apply to have an underage performer approved to perform. A performer is considered underage if they’re 18 or younger.
Use the Request for Underage Performer Form to have an underage performer approved to perform in your licensed cabaret, lounge or beverage room.
Eligibility
You need to apply if you’re the manager of the licensed establishment or the principal person on the Permanent Liquor Licence that’s on file with the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division.
How to apply
- Complete the application form for each underage performer.
- Check the application for details on all required supporting documents.
- Send your completed application and supporting documents by mail, email or fax. Or visit the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division.
How long it takes
It should take 1 week to get approval. It can take longer if more information is needed or if your application hasn’t been filled in correctly.
Cost
There is no cost to apply for approval.
Before you start
Make sure you have:
- signature from the manager of the licensed establishment or the principal person on the Permanent Liquor Licence that’s on file with the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division
- parent or guardian of the underage performer complete and sign the “Parental Consent for Underage Entertainer” section of the form
