End a partnership: request for revocation
Partnerships need to notify Registry of Joint Stock Companies if their business is no longer operating. They can also ask Registry of Joint Stock Companies to revoke (cancel) their Certificate of Registration.
Use the Revocation - Voluntary Form to notify Registry of Joint Stock Companies that your business is no longer operating. The form also indicates to Registry of Joint Stock Companies if you want to revoke (cancel) your Certificate of Registration.
You need to notify Registry of Joint Stock Companies that your partnership has dissolved or is no longer operating (request for revocation). If Registry of Joint Stock Companies doesn’t receive notification and you don’t pay your renewal fee by the date required, the registry revokes (cancels) your Certificate of Registration and changes the status of the registration to ‘revoked for non-payment’.

- Complete the Revocation - Voluntary Form online.
- Check the form for details on all required supporting documents.
- Submit your completed form and supporting documents.
- Registry of Joint Stock Companies revokes (cancels) the Certificate of Registration. The registry also changes the status of the registration to ‘revoked’.
How long it takes
It should take 1 to 2 weeks to update your records. It can take longer if more information is needed or if your form hasn’t been filled in correctly.

There is no cost to submit the form.
Before you start
Make sure you have:
- name of your business registered with Registry of Joint Stock Companies
- date the business ceased operations (stopped operating)
- all partners available to sign the form, including an officer or director on behalf of each corporate partner
