Expropriations Policy: Residential Tenancies
The Expropriations Policy (Policy 12) describes how much notice to quit a tenant must be given if the government decides to take over (expropriate) the tenant’s rental.
This policy explains that when the government takes (expropriates) a rental, the lease ends and the landlord must give the tenant 3 months’ notice to quit.
