Application to Director Policy: Residential Tenancies
The Application to Director Policy (Policy 1) outlines how landlords and tenants can get help from a residential tenancy officer to resolve a dispute.
This policy explains how landlords and tenants first need to try to resolve the dispute on their own. If they can’t resolve the dispute, the landlord or tenant can complete an Application to Director to get help from a residential tenancy officer.
Information includes:
- procedure
- processes for different application forms
A residential tenancy officer reviews the application and first tries to mediate the dispute. If mediation fails, then a residential tenancy hearing is held to determine the facts and issue an order.
