Change your registered office address: co-operatives

Co-operatives need to change their registered office address information with Registry of Joint Stock Companies.

Use the Change of Entity Address Form to change the registered address of your co-operative.

You need to notify Registry of Joint Stock Companies of any changes to the registered office address within 28 days of the change.

All co-operatives need to have a registered office in Nova Scotia.

What you need to do

  1. Complete the Change of Entity Address Form online.
  2. Within 28 days of the change, submit your completed form.
  3. Registry of Joint Stock Companies updates your records.

How long it takes

It should take 1 to 2 weeks to update your records. It can take longer if more information is needed or if your form hasn’t been filled in correctly.

There is no cost to submit the form.
