Use the Application for Reinstatement of Access to the Casinos Form if you’ve already completed the Request for Voluntary Exclusion Form and want to be allowed back into Casino Nova Scotia in Halifax and Sydney.

How to apply

  1. Complete the application form.
  2. Send your completed application and 2 copies by mail. Or visit the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division.
  3. A compliance officer of the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division contacts you to review and sign the Request for Consent to Investigation Form.
  4. You get a hearing date with the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board after you sign the Request for Consent to Investigation Form.
  5. Participate in the hearing. You can represent yourself or hire a lawyer to represent you. You can call witnesses and present documents at the hearing.

How long it takes

You will continue to be banned from casinos until the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board decides on your case. You can receive a verbal decision during the hearing. Or it may take a few days up to a few weeks to receive the decision by mail.

There is no cost to apply to re-enter casinos after voluntary ban.
