Alternative Methods of Service Policy: Residential Tenancies

The Alternative Methods of Service Policy (Policy 34) explains that someone can request an Order for Alternative Service if they’ve tried unsuccessfully to serve someone else with a residential tenancy document by registered mail or in person.

This policy outlines how someone can request an Order for Alternative Service if they’ve made reasonable efforts to serve someone else with a residential tenancy document by prepaid registered mail, express post or courier, or by email or in person.
