Delivery Person Licence
Apply for a Delivery Person Licence. You need the licence to deliver liquor to individuals who have ordered liquor with their food from a licensed establishment.
By law, you must have a Delivery Person Licence to deliver alcohol for a licensed establishment if you are not an employee of that establishment. An employee of the establishment doesn’t need a Delivery Person Licence to deliver liquor.
Requirement to keep records
You need to keep a record of any liquor you couldn’t deliver and the reason why.
Eligibility
You need to be 19 or older. You also need to have completed Third-Party Delivery of Alcohol Training.
How to apply
- Complete the application form.
- Get the form notarized by a justice of the peace, commissioner of oaths or at the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division.
- Check the application for details on all required supporting documents.
- Send your completed application, supporting documents and payment by mail, email or fax. Or visit the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division.
How long it takes
It should take 2 to 3 weeks to get the licence. It can take longer if more information is needed or if your application hasn’t been filled in correctly.
Cost
There is no cost to apply.
Before you start
Make sure you have:
- completed the Third-Party Delivery of Alcohol Training (keep a copy of the Certificate of Completion for your records)
- justice of the peace or commissioner of oaths notarize the form, or visit the Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division to notarize the form

Renewal
You need to renew your Delivery Person Licence every 3 years. You should get a renewal notice in the mail before the renewal date. It’s your responsibility to renew on time.
