The continuing care strategy review evaluates Nova Scotia’s 10-year continuing care strategy.

This review, Continuing Care: A Path to 2017, describes the evaluation of Nova Scotia’s 10-year continuing care strategy that started in 2006. It determines the value for money invested in continuing care, impact on those served, and what should be changed in future continuing care plans.

The review outlines evaluation results and proposed directions for 4 main areas:

* living well at home
* improving access
* supporting caregivers
* improving quality and sustainability

The Department of Health and Wellness will use this review to develop a new 5-year continuing care strategy set for release in 2017.
